About Me
I am a 2007 graduate of the 750 hour A.A.S. Degree in Therapeutic Massage from Phoenix College, where I received extensive training in anatomy and physiology, Swedish massage, trigger point, deep tissue, PNF Stretching, and orthopedic protocols. I am a Member of the American Massage and Bodywork Professionals, and a Certified Usui Reiki Practitioner (Level 2). My continuing education credits include Massage for People Living with Cancer through Banner Desert Hospital, and Kinesio Taping (KT1 & KT2) through the Kinesio Taping Institute, along with being certified in CPR and AED. When I am not practicing massage I am teaching it, as the Clinic Supervisor for the Massage Core Program at Phoenix College.
In my free time, I enjoy just about anything that gets me outdoors including camping, backpacking and hiking. I'm also an avid cyclist, both on road and off, and you'll usually find me without gears. I've been known to enter races or events totally unprepared but still able to have fun, or showing up with my massage table to support my friends in the cycling community. At times I enjoy punishing myself with Bikram Yoga.
I am not a therapist who is here to just clock-in and clock-out. Whether you are battling stress, Cancer, or your next bike race, I am here to work with you to create change in your life, and facilitate growth toward your physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. I have a true desire to help people in a compassionate and holistic way. We are all on a journey through life, and I would be honored to be included in yours.
Namaste,
Heidi Van Camp, LMT
